QA Infrastructure

TMS QA Infrastructure gives you instant access to a cloud-based device lab and browser grid -- real iOS and Android devices, and all major desktop browsers -- so you can test your applications on real hardware without buying, configuring, or maintaining physical equipment.

What QA Infrastructure Provides​

Cloud Device Lab​

Access a catalog of real physical iOS and Android devices for mobile testing:

  • Real iPhones and iPads -- Test on actual Apple hardware, not just simulators
  • Real Android devices -- Test on popular Samsung, Google Pixel, OnePlus, and other Android devices
  • Multiple OS versions -- Test across different iOS and Android versions to ensure compatibility
  • Live interaction -- Stream the device screen to your browser and interact with it in real time

Cloud Browsers​

Run your web tests on browsers hosted in the cloud:

  • Chrome -- Multiple versions, including the latest stable and beta releases
  • Firefox -- Current and recent versions
  • Edge -- Latest Chromium-based Edge
  • Safari -- Via macOS-hosted instances

Live Device Streaming​

Interact with remote devices directly from your browser -- no special software needed:

  • Screen mirroring with low latency
  • Touch, swipe, and gesture forwarding
  • Real-time video streaming
  • Text input and hardware button simulation

Automated Session Management​

TMS handles the complexity of device and browser management for you:

  • Automatic allocation -- Request a device or browser, and TMS finds an available one that matches your requirements
  • Session isolation -- Each testing session is isolated so your tests do not interfere with others
  • Automatic cleanup -- Sessions are cleaned up after use, so the next user starts with a fresh state
  • Artifact collection -- Screenshots, video recordings, and logs are automatically captured and stored

Accessing QA Infrastructure from TMS​

You can access QA Infrastructure from several places in TMS:

From the Sidebar​

  1. Click QA Infrastructure in the left navigation menu.
  2. You will see the device catalog, active sessions, and browser grid status.

From a Test Run​

  1. When creating or editing a test run, select a target environment.
  2. Choose a specific device or browser from the available options.
  3. Your tests will run on the selected cloud infrastructure.

From a Test Case​

  1. Open a test case with a linked automation.
  2. Click Run on Cloud and select the target device or browser.
  3. The automation executes on the cloud infrastructure and results sync back to TMS.
